Happy Republic day !!!
First time I got to learn about the word ‘republic’ in my social-studies book in school. All we students knew about this ‘republic day’ that on this
day we don’t have to go to school for regular classes nor have to carry our
school bags rather have to wear ujjala
white uniform and parade on the field , see
the chief guest hosting the flags following with national anthem and at the end
we are allowed to go back with chocolates and sweets to home ,where parents would be watching the live
telecast the patriotic activities taking place Delhi ; speech of political
figures, Grand parade , stunts like 12 men on one bullet with national flags with a salute etc etc..
After one gets older and matured he/she start to take
History of India an interesting and vital
thing to know and forgets
that in his/her early teenage the same subject was named by him/her as
‘boring subject’ during the classes . In school, taking out the moral of the
subject i.e history , India is the country which was ruled
by many alien Empires among which Britishers were like decepticons and loki where as Indian freedom fighters were like
Iron man and Avengers.. Anyhow later on
India got Independence in pen and paper,
congrats to us.
Initially It was very confusing what is being republic!..With approaching age and
accumulation of datas , it was known to
that on 28th Aug 1947, the drafting committee was appointed
to draft a permanent constitution laying down fundamental political principles,
rules and duties of citizens and government institutions making
India like sovereign country with the help of Dr. B.R Ambedkar(chairman),
which was finally signed and passed on 24th Jan 1950 then two days
later, it came into effect and known to all on 26th Jan 1950..As the
constitutions is framed for each and
every citizen , hopefully it is followed by all and respected by all to respect republic day.
Yes,how can I forget that India ‘form of government’ states
that it is a democratic country!! Where all citizens have an equal rights and can
take decisions that affect their lives and enjoy fundamental right (that’s a
diff issue that in certain modulation are been done time to time if a mere
citizen point fingers or comments on a huge heavy powerful figure ;) )..
Democracy also says that each citizen have freedom to
certain general accepted activities such as any gender can walk alone along the
road without having fear of eve teasing
or getting assaulted, old rich couples can stay alone happily enjoying their hard earned money
without fear of getting robbed and killed.. Even the society wants to be free
of mental pollution which is more dangerous than environmental pollution … Its
very simple to relax which have miraculous power for being in peace state of
mind but how can one relax when he/she have lot of ‘fear’ in surrounding and
insecurities !!
Atleast hopefully one who have bit of +ve conscience will
not be harmful for society rather will check it . Guess we have!!!
